The fifth book used to be my least favorite, but reading it in succession of the fourth, I realized the path of depression that Harry was on, and I think it makes his maturation in the sixth book much more meaningful because you see where he came from and you see that he perseveres in spite of a much more painful loss. The fifth book to me is all about Harry growing up.Adamhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14727132130031404619noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1607908729289802192.post-1108103892980555742010-07-25T11:11:08.287-07:002010-07-25T11:11:08.287-07:00Charlie's adventures as a dragon keeper in Rom...Charlie's adventures as a dragon keeper in Romania. The actual text of "Hogwarts, a History"--something about that book holds Hermione's obsession. But more than anything--and this is predictable for me--stories about the magical communities in different parts of the world. J.K. Rowling referred to the various international Quidditch teams at the Quidditch World Cup and suddenly I wanted to know about the equivalent of Hogwarts in Uganda, and Peru, and all of these other places.Sarahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17999040304513799543noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1607908729289802192.post-65597809110303202812010-07-24T22:30:09.743-07:002010-07-24T22:30:09.743-07:00Very nice review, Danny. J.K. has truly created something remarkable. There are a lot of life lessons and emotions that children (and adults) can experience vicariously through Harry and his pals, experiences like abandonment, jealousy, fear, rejection, revenge, peer pressure, and the many faces of evil (both overt and not so). Masterpiece of a series.Elisahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16614452725383193283noreply@blogger.com
